Home Prices Still Falling, Says Case-Shiller

U.S. home prices are now down a record 20 percent, while Portland home prices are down 14 percent. This is according to this morning's Case-Shiller report which examines sales criteria from January 2008 to January 2009.

Here are the average price declines listed from best to worst:

Rate = City

-4.9% = Dallas
-5.1% = Denver
-5.2% = Cleveland
-7.3% = Boston
-8.2% = Charlotte
-9.6% = New York
-14.0% = Portland
-14.3% = Atlanta
-15.0% = Seattle
-16.4% = Chicago
-19.3% = Washington, D.C.
-20.4% = Minneapolis
-22.6% = Detroit
-23.3% = Tampa
-24.9% = San Diego
-25.8% = Los Angeles
-29.4% = Miami
-31.4% = San Francisco
-32.5% = Las Vegas
-35.0% = Phoenix
