Energy Trust of Oregon is doing some great things in the arena of energy conservation. These are topics I plan to write more about in this real estate blog. One subject I've covered and will discuss today is the FREE Home Energy Review offered to homeowners.
The free review consists of a one-hour walkthrough of your home, assessing areas typical for energy loss:
Insulation levels in the attic, ceiling, walls, floors and ducts
Heating system
Air sealing and windows
Ventilation
Moisture problems
As a bonus, the energy advisor who inspects your home will give you free water-saving showerheads, water-saving faucet aerators, and Energy Star compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs).
